It has been lovingly and expensively renovated with no expense spared in its upkeep and presentation. The centrally heated accommodation is mostly on one level and is extremely light and spacious with three sets of French windows leading to the large flagged patio and pool area. The mellow, pale ochre stone walls and oak beams are offset by ceramic tiled floors with huge traditional fireplaces, wood burning stoves and Chinese style rugs and equipped to an exceptionally high standard. Its high ceilings, which add grandeur and style, also ensure cool temperature even on the hottest days. It is extremely unusual for such a beautiful property to be available as a holiday let

Living/Dining Area
The Split-Level Living/Dining Area Large French windows open onto a large
patio giving direct access to garden and pool area; the steeply pitched
beamed ceiling adds height and elegance to this magnificent sun drenched
space. You can relax in the comfort or our 4 piece suite to listen to music
on the Hi-Fi, watch Satellite TV, watch a video/DVD of your choice: choose
from a wide selection of videos available for all ages, or simply read at
your leisure The imposing open fireplace and log burning stove, give the
very large airy sitting room a sophisticated and comfortable feel.
The raised dining area has a large mahogony table and 8 chairs for those
special meals and a beautiful mahogany display cabinet. There is access
from the raised dining area to the kitchen and vestibule, and an open, wooden
staircase leads to the 4th bedroom. The pool/snooker table in the vestibule
provides opportunities for hours of fun and family tournaments

Kitchen
The spacious, wood-beamed
kitchen is fully fitted with split-level electric cooker and hob, double
sink, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. There is an abundance
of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. A farmhouse table and chairs dominates
the centre of the room, the perfect place for the family meals. We have
restored and maintained many of the old-fashioned rustic features, and one
of these is the old stone-sink, which can be seen in the kitchen window-sill.
This window looks out onto the private sun-drenched courtyard.
Access to this is through the kitchen door. Here you can relax, sun-bathe
or enjoy a meal at the patio table and chairs in the walled courtyard.

Master Bedroom
This spacious
double bedroom boasts a high ceiling with exposed beams, views out onto
the front terrace, garden and pool-area, and a large en-suite with both
bath, separate walk-in shower, a washbasin and toilet.
Double Bedroom
This 2nd
double bedroom provides a cosy atmosphere with a beautifully exposed stone
wall containing a small niche. This room also looks out onto the front terrace,
garden and pool-area. The en-suite has shower, washbasin and toilet.
Twin Bedroom - This bedroom
looks out onto the back courtyard and it's en-suite, with shower,
wash-basin, toilet, is the one which doubles as a day-time facility.
Upper Floor
The fourth
bedroom, which is accessible from the dining-area via the wooden-feature
open staircase is fully carpeted, has twin beds, en-suite with toilet and
wash basin, situated under the wonderfully restored eaves. This original
hay loft conjures up an atmosphere of former French rural life, now re-designed
for your comfort. There is also a child-safe window overlooking the front
terrace, garden and pool area.

External Features
The wood-beamed
canopy area has tastefully restored crazy-paved terracing, which match both
front and back patio areas. This is the perfect setting for shade, a relaxing
BBQ or the place to enjoy wealth of tastes of the regions' famous wines.
Our neighbour, Calixte Delmas, whose property joins onto the back of our
house, is always keen to promote his Chateau Grand Place and Petit Claud
vins rouges et vins blancs.

Swimming Pool
Measures 12 metres by 4 metres, is heated April to October, has Roman steps
into it and is surrounded by a large patio area. It is set in the private,
secured garden which has many well-established and unusual trees, providing
a frame for this wonderfully relaxing setting. The pool is fenced off in
accordance with French law.
A great deal of effort has been made to provide guests
with every comfort and convenience. This includes telephone,
large electric fans and hairdryers
in each bedroom, iron and ironing board, a selection of novels, videos and
a range of outside furniture and sun-loungers and BBQ.
Beds are freshly made up on arrival and high quality personal towels, and
beach towels for use around the pool area, are provided.
There is parking immediately in front of the house.
While you are staying at 'Maison des Bois' the garden and the pool will be attended to. There is an automatic watering system installed but we shall still have to discreetly go about the business of keeping everything perfect.
We would ask you to look after Maison des Bois as though it was your own home. If unfortunately, you do happen to break or damage something then please notify us and replace it before you leave. We would also expect the house to be left clean and tidy.
Maison des Bois is a wonderfully stylish, immaculately presented house; ideal for large families or groups.
